Heady, luscious scents of black raspberry and cassis, tree fruit and garrigues, with a substantial mineral quality adding gravitas and keeping what would otherwise stand the chance of being an overly opulent wine. Stains the palate with intense, spiced red and dark berry flavors that put on weight with air. The herbaceousness comes back strong on the finish, which shows striking clarity and profound persistence.
